Marisa Magiros
Dr Marisa Magiros is a mother, wife, medical educator and GP working in Sydney. Marisa completed her JMO years at the original Orange Base Hospital before travelling overseas to locum in the UK and Ireland. She worked as a cruise ship doctor for 2.5 years before returning to Australia to attain her FRACGP. Marisa is passionate about medical education and became involved as a GP registrar. She has continued in this arena since fellowship and now holds the role of Deputy Regional Head of Education for Central, Eastern and South Western Sydney at GP Synergy. Marisa also works part time in private general practice and at Family Planning NSW. Her new challenges for 2018 are to join the MDA Eastern Cases Committee as the GP representative and undertake a leadership course. Her greatest achievement to date is raising her young sons, Will and Jack, with her Irish husband Jason.
