Sleep problems as defined by parents are extremely common in children. Many are amenable to simple interventions that improve both the child’s sleep and the family’s quality of life. Dr Nixon will discuss some common sleep disorders and outline her approach to their management, including bedtime resistance, night wakings, night terrors and snoring. Topics will include: What does good sleep look like?; Resources for doctors treating sleep problems (in patients and their own children); Tools for managing night wakings; Tips for success.
